This year marks the 100th anniversary of the classic book, Christianity and Liberalism, published in 1923.  The book was written by J. Gresham Machen, a professor of New Testament and Greek at Princeton Theological Seminary.  The book was written to counter the effects of “modernist” interpretation of Christianity. In so doing he argued persuasively that modernism was not in line with the historic Christian faith. Indeed, he argued that it was a separate religion altogether from the historic Christian Faith.
