Christ Covenant Church is a diverse congregation comprised of people from many walks of life. We attract of people from Midland and the surrounding communities including of Bay City, Saginaw, and Mount Pleasant. Our church can be summarized in the following words: Biblical, Thoughtful, Reverent, and Reformed.
Biblical – The source of our beliefs are found in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments of the Bible.
Thoughtful – We interpret the Scriptures according to the various genres found in the Bible (prose, history, poetry, prophesy, wisdom literature, etc.) making a careful distinction between law and Gospel. Using biblical theology we reflect on deeper themes of Scripture often overlooked by those who use the Bible as a book of prooftexts. We ask hard questions seek to apply the Bible to all of life.
Reverent – Our approach to God is informed by His majesty, might and works in redemptive history. We are guided by Hebrews 12:28-29 which implores believers to worship God “with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.”
Reformed – Our doctrinal beliefs are found in the Westminster Confession of Faith, one of the most important confessional documents produced during the Protestant Reformation.
We worship at 2821 Ashman Street in Midland (across from Kroger). From Ashman, turn right onto Mertz and then turn left into our parking lot. Our main entrance is the glass door in the courtyard.
